ALLISTON (ON) - November 22, 2011 - Lawrence Barley and Jaye E. Marsh will present “Entr'acte”, a flute and guitar recital at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 125 Wellington St. W, Alliston, ON, on December 9, 2011 at 8pm. Proceeds from the recital will be donated to the 400 Tactical Helicopter Squadron Operation SickKids HOHOHO.

Music selections for the programme are intended to serve as an entr’acte during rush of the holiday season. The diverse program for flute and guitar includes works by Debussy, Ravel, Pergolesi, Piazzolla, and Domeniconi.

“Lawrence Barley and Jaye E. Marsh are celebrated for their beautiful blend of flute and guitar which captivates audiences of all ages.”

Since 2004, the 400 Tactical Helicopter Squadron has flown elves and a few Toronto Maple Leafs players down to the Toronto SickKids Hospital to deliver toys and cheer to the children staying at the hospital during the holiday season.

To make this a reality, every year the squadron petitions local businesses and members from the surrounding communities for help and donations. Last year they marked their most successful fundraising effort, collecting more than $4,000 in funds and toys during Op SickKids HOHOHO. This year 400 THS hopes to beat that record.

Tickets to Entr’acte are $10 for students and seniors, and $15 for adults. Advance tickets are available by calling (705)-424-1200 x1376 or (647)-800-5025. Guests are invited to make a donation at the door in the form of cash or an unwrapped toy.
